The Completion of the MPS

Our first MPS in Sierra Leone.

Today we finally finished our first MPS. It has roll up bars along its side and three rooms ready for our mushroom substrates. We also worked on completing the convection oven using bricks we made last week so that we can steam the structure and pasteurize our substrates.

We also boiled grains we we had soaking all day yesterday. After letting them cook for 10 minutes, we used our mesh, towel, and fan system to dry them. This was our second time utilizing this method and we were happy to see that it was very successful. We jarred the grains and we able to move forward with pressure cooking the same day. Unfortunately our pressure cooker ran dry again, so we added more water and continued. We are frustrated this keeps happening but want to keep experimenting to figure out a permanent solution. We updated our spawn manual as well to be more specific to the trials of Sierra Leone.
